About AMPIRIO Private Limited

AMPIRIO Private Limited is the India-based engineering infrastructure hub of AMPIRIO, combining German governance with Indian engineering strength.

We help businesses build, scale, and operate high-performance technology capabilities through custom enterprise software development, dedicated engineering teams, cloud-native platforms, SaaS solutions, digital commerce, DevOps, and structured technology expansion.

Our engagement models range from project-based software development to Team-as-a-Service and Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT), designed for long-term scalability, operational control, and sustainable growth.

Engineering Infrastructure. Not Just Development.

The Opportunity: Full Build Mandate

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to build AMPIRIO's commercial engine from the ground up — and then turn it into business.

This is not a role where you inherit an established pipeline, mature CRM, large marketing team, or predefined sales playbook.

You will help build them.

You will have significant ownership over market selection, go-to-market strategy, target accounts, outbound, partnerships, tenders, supplier networks, commercial infrastructure, and ultimately the opportunities you create.

We are open about geography. India, ASEAN, the UK, Nordics, continental Europe, system-integrator partnerships, or other markets can all be considered.

What matters is your ability to identify where AMPIRIO can compete effectively and prove which routes can generate sustainable, profitable business.

There is one non-negotiable principle:

Sell only what we can deliver.

Sustainable business matters more than headline revenue.

What You Will Own

Market Selection & Go-to-Market

  • Identify and prioritize the markets, industries, customer segments, and service lines AMPIRIO should pursue.

  • Build a clear business case for where we should focus first.

  • Develop market-entry and go-to-market approaches based on opportunity, competition, delivery capability, and commercial viability.

  • Help shape how AMPIRIO's services are packaged, positioned, and priced in collaboration with the CEO and engineering leadership.

  • Continuously evaluate channel performance and stop investing in approaches that do not demonstrate potential.

  • Gather market intelligence and turn customer feedback into actionable commercial decisions.

Pipeline Development – From Zero

  • Build AMPIRIO's target-account and prospect universe.

  • Identify relevant decision-makers, buying committees, partners, and commercial opportunities.

  • Design and execute prospecting across direct outbound, LinkedIn, events, referrals, partnerships, and other relevant channels.

  • Own opportunity qualification and maintain disciplined bid/no-bid decisions.

  • Develop opportunities from initial contact through discovery, solutioning, proposal, negotiation, and close.

  • Build relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders.

  • Maintain a commercially realistic pipeline aligned with delivery capacity and expected margins.

Tenders, RFPs & Bids

  • Identify relevant opportunities across tender portals, procurement platforms, enterprise sourcing systems, and IT project marketplaces.

  • Evaluate opportunities based on strategic fit, delivery capability, margin potential, and probability of success.

  • Manage supplier registration and prequalification processes.

  • Own RFP, RFQ, and tender responses end to end.

  • Analyze requirements and coordinate technical, commercial, security, legal, and compliance inputs.

  • Manage submission requirements, documentation, and deadlines.

  • Build a reusable bid library including capability statements, company information, references, team profiles, security and data-protection responses, and win/loss insights.

  • Ensure every submission improves the efficiency and quality of future bids.

Partner, Broker & Subcontractor Channels

  • Build relationships with IT staffing companies, vendor brokers, MSP/VMS programmes, system integrators, consultancies, and other organizations requiring external engineering capacity.

  • Identify opportunities for AMPIRIO to become an approved delivery, technology, or engineering partner.

  • Secure supplier registrations, preferred-supplier listings, framework agreements, and partner relationships.

  • Own supplier and partner onboarding processes.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant partner and channel stakeholders.

  • Build repeatable partner-sourced opportunity channels.

Commercial Infrastructure

  • Recommend and help implement the CRM and prospecting technology stack.

  • Establish practical sales processes, pipeline stages, qualification criteria, forecasting, and reporting.

  • Maintain accurate CRM data and opportunity information.

  • Develop reporting that gives leadership clear visibility into pipeline health, conversion, channel performance, and forecast.

  • Build the initial sales collateral required to support business development.

  • Create presentations, one-pagers, proposals, and other commercial material when required.

  • Track wins, losses, objections, and customer feedback to continuously improve the sales process.

Client Discovery & Delivery Alignment

  • Conduct discovery conversations with prospective clients.

  • Understand business objectives, technical requirements, integration needs, delivery expectations, timelines, and commercial constraints.

  • Work directly with AMPIRIO's engineering leadership on solution feasibility, scoping, staffing, and delivery models.

  • Ensure commercial commitments are validated internally before being made to clients.

  • Coordinate the transition from sales to delivery after contract signature.

  • Remain involved until newly won accounts are operationally stable.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience in B2B enterprise sales, business development, pre-sales, or technology services sales.

  • Experience within IT services, software development, SaaS, enterprise technology, digital transformation, or engineering services.

  • Proven ownership of real business opportunities beyond basic lead qualification.

  • Demonstrable experience building a market, territory, channel, or pipeline from the ground up.

  • Hands-on experience managing RFPs, RFQs, proposals, and/or tenders end to end.

  • Experience coordinating technical and commercial stakeholders during complex opportunities.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise B2B sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and procurement processes.

  • Ability to conduct customer discovery and understand technology topics such as software platforms, integrations, cloud environments, architecture, and delivery models.

  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Fluent professional/business English.

  • Strong commercial judgement and numerical understanding.

  • High degree of independence and ownership.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership located in Germany.

Strong Advantages

  • Experience selling offshore or nearshore software engineering services.

  • Experience selling dedicated engineering teams, ODC, Team-as-a-Service, or Build-Operate-Transfer engagements.

  • Existing relationships with IT staffing firms, brokers, MSP/VMS programmes, system integrators, or technology partners.

  • Experience selling into European or other international markets.

  • German or another European language.

  • Understanding of GDPR requirements relevant to European B2B prospecting.

  • Experience with enterprise procurement and supplier-prequalification processes.

  • Experience implementing or configuring a CRM rather than simply using one.

  • Domain knowledge within financial services, real estate, energy, SaaS, or digital commerce.

How Success Will Be Measured

First 90 Days

  • Priority markets and customer segments selected with a clear commercial rationale.

  • CRM and prospecting stack operational.

  • Target-account universe established.

  • Initial outbound and business-development activities running.

  • Priority tender, procurement, partner, and supplier platforms identified and registrations initiated.

  • First intermediary and partner relationships being developed.

  • Clear pipeline and reporting structure established.

Within 6 Months

The six-month checkpoint is about building commercial structure, not forcing premature revenue.

We expect:

  • At least one acquisition channel demonstrating meaningful traction.

  • Qualified second meetings and opportunities developing consistently, and/or partner/broker-sourced opportunities emerging.

  • Relevant supplier or partner listings secured or progressing.

  • Bid and proposal library established.

  • Clear evidence of which markets and channels deserve further investment — and which should be stopped.

  • A credible pipeline that leadership can evaluate and plan against.

Within 12 Months

  • First closed business.

  • Repeatable business-development motion documented.

  • Reliable commercial pipeline established.

  • Clear understanding of the channels producing the strongest opportunities.

  • Forecasting mature enough to support engineering and capacity planning.

  • Documented commercial processes that can support future team growth.

What We Offer

  • High ownership: Help build AMPIRIO's commercial function from the ground up.

  • Direct access to leadership: Report directly to the CEO in Germany.

  • International exposure: Develop opportunities across India and international markets.

  • Freedom to build: Help choose the markets, channels, tools, and commercial approaches that make sense.

  • Performance upside: Fixed compensation plus commission linked to the gross margin of business you win.

  • Real influence: Your market feedback will directly influence positioning, service packaging, and go-to-market decisions.

  • Technical collaboration: Work directly with engineering leadership rather than selling disconnected from delivery.

  • Career impact: Build a commercial function that can grow into a larger international Sales & Business Development organization.

What This Role Is Not

This is not an account-management position with a portfolio of established customers.

This is not a lead-qualification role where opportunities are handed to you by an SDR team.

This is not a position with a mature marketing and sales infrastructure already in place.

And this is not a role where someone else defines your market, creates your pipeline, prepares every presentation, and tells you which prospects to contact.

You will be expected to help build the structure yourself.

Who Will Succeed Here

You are likely to succeed if you enjoy ambiguity, ownership, experimentation, and building commercial systems from scratch.

You should be equally comfortable:

  • Opening a conversation with a new prospect.

  • Researching and selecting a market.

  • Running an enterprise discovery meeting.

  • Writing a proposal or presentation.

  • Completing a supplier-prequalification questionnaire.

  • Working with engineers on solution feasibility.

  • Negotiating commercial terms.

  • Updating your CRM and forecast.

  • Building a partner relationship.

  • Closing an opportunity.

Most importantly, you should be able to show us something you have built before.

Tell us what existed when you arrived, what you personally changed, what worked, what failed, and what commercial outcome followed.

Apply

If you have built B2B opportunities from the ground up and want the ownership to build an international commercial function, we'd like to hear from you.
