Head of Business Development

About AMPIRIO

AMPIRIO Private Limited is the Indian engineering and technology company of NAVMEDA GmbH, a German software and engineering firm based near Frankfurt.

We combine German governance with Indian engineering capabilities to build and operate digital platforms for international clients.

Our offerings include multi-marketplace systems, real estate software, custom enterprise applications, and dedicated engineering teams.

We are a growing organization building our commercial function from the ground up.

About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Business Development to establish, lead, and scale our commercial operations.

This is a leadership opportunity for someone who has successfully built markets, sales pipelines, partnerships, or business development functions from scratch.

You will have direct access to our CEO in Germany and the freedom to determine which markets, industries, channels, and opportunities offer the strongest potential for sustainable revenue growth.

There is no established pipeline, CRM, partner network, or sales playbook waiting for you. You will build the commercial infrastructure, define the go-to-market strategy, and take ownership of winning new business.

Your responsibilities extend across enterprise sales, international market development, strategic partnerships, tender management, commercial operations, and revenue generation.

Our fundamental principle: Sell only what we can reliably deliver.

Every commercial commitment must align with our engineering capabilities, available resources, delivery timelines, and profitability requirements.

What Success Looks Like

First 90 Days — Establish the Foundation

Define and justify your target markets and customer segments. Implement the CRM and prospecting infrastructure, establish target account lists, launch outbound activities, and initiate supplier registrations and partner conversations.

First 6 Months — Build Commercial Momentum

Establish at least one demonstrably productive acquisition channel, generate qualified opportunities, develop the initial bid library, and identify which market approaches should be expanded or discontinued.

First 12 Months — Deliver Sustainable Growth

Close the first business opportunities, establish a repeatable commercial process, and create a reliable sales forecast that supports engineering capacity planning.

We recognize that enterprise sales involve complex decision-making and longer sales cycles. Success will be evaluated through meaningful commercial progress, pipeline quality, and sustainable revenue generation.

What We Offer

  • Complete ownership of the business development function.

  • Direct collaboration with the CEO in Germany.

  • Freedom to select target markets, channels, and commercial tools.

  • A budget for justified sales and prospecting infrastructure.

  • Competitive fixed compensation plus commission on the gross margin of business won.

  • Opportunities to build international partnerships and enterprise client relationships.

  • Support from experienced engineering and technology leadership.

  • A growing German-Indian organization with a long-term business vision.

How to Apply

Send your CV to hr@ampirio.in.

Instead of a traditional cover letter, please answer the following question in one or two paragraphs:

"Looking at what we do, which market would you start in, and what would you refuse to pursue in the first six months?"

We will review your answer before reviewing your CV.
